Twin Lakes Medical Center opened in Boca Raton, FL in 2008. With excellent patient care, hard work, and ensuring that all patients are treated with respect by all staff members, we have grown into a thriving practice. Each patient is provided the attention required to make the correct diagnosis and treatment plan.
Lirka Gonzalez Rodriguez, MD graduated from Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. She did a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She worked as an emergency room physician and hospitalist for over 6 years and gained extensive experience in treating all sorts of emergencies.
She trained at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami Transplant Institute, University of Miami, Florida. She then completed a residency in Family Medicine at School of Medicine, University of Puerto Rico. She is board certified in Family Medicine.

My goal with each and every patient is to get to know them, to talk with them, to listen to them, to answer their questions, to educate them, to address their needs in the clinic. Rachel Huerta, Family Nurse Practitioner, was born and raised in Florida. She has over 13 years of patient-care experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Her passion is to provide patient-centered care that begins with listening to the patient and working with them to create a plan of care. Rachel attended Florida Atlantic University for her BSN and MSN degrees with a specialty in Family Medicine. She has privileges at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and is able to admit our patients as needed in collaboration with our physicians.

Tanveer Sheikh, MD trained in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. He completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, FL. He has admitting privileges at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. In 2010, Dr. Sheikh established a vein clinic at Twin Lakes Medical Center. He uses the state of the art CoolTouch CTEV micro-pulsed laser which has the following features:
